It's been my life's privilege to be able to travel across the globe and I can say with no prejudice that Nepal is the greatest country I've ever visited.
March will show you the great nature the country has to offer as the indigenous plants bloom, however vast expanses of mountains will be swathed in the haze of spring/summer so bear that in mind.
Take passport photos with you as you receive your visa on arrival.
Make sure you fly to Pokhara and take in the most magnificent lake, Lake Fewa and the spectacular views of the Fish Tail mountain (Machapuchare).
I'm returning again in October and I'll keep going back as long as my body lets me.

Likewise. Used to be a tiny Airport , surprised if flight is direct. Heat added as great price.

Is 8 days enough time to see anything other than KT though? Never been but if I do I reckon even 3 weeks may not be enough to do some decent trekking?

Because it's a long and expensive flight, I personally wouldn't go for 8 days. I would like to do /see few things when I was there.

In my last visit we were only there for 4 days whilst on a break from working in Delhi. 2 days in Pokhara (flight is about $100 and 30 mins, the coach takes a day) and a day and a half in KTM. You can't go and pore over each and every mountain, valley and crevasse but you can have a great time and see a lot in 8 days.

You won't be able to do a decent trek and see KTM or Pokhara.

Bargain. I paid around £800 for a flight in October this year. Stunning country, great people, and I loved Kathmandu city, its just nuts

Other, more convenient tickets are available for reasonable prices as well! Friday - Sunday (+ 1 week) for £330/350 in mid March, which is quite a good time to go there.
