As title, spotted at the Hull store in the clearance section. Still 4 sets left when I was leaving.

The specified throughput on power line devices is the theoretical maximum in perfect conditions. WiFi these days is consistently faster, and range extenders make it easy to cover a whole house, plus can had wired sockets anywhere you may need them.

My wifi doesn't cover my house; I also have had a range extender and a second router via home plug.
In my experience, for my study and my ps4 that are far from the router these work great and I get the same 35Mbps that I can get wired to my router. Having said that it does depend on your wiring, but I have an old house and it's all good!
A great deal for anyone who can get them!

Range extenders whilst a cheap option are not the best solution especially when you loose around 50% bandwidth when using one, it's one of the reasons why powerline technology is the preferred choice by many.

Er, wifi will never be faster than a wired connection (assuming your power wiring is decent)

Any WiFi range extender doubles the latency and halves the bandwidth. Networking 101.
Homeplugs, dependent on your wiring and configuration, will show some deterioration in signal but certainly not to that extent.

I disagree, unless you have a high end Wifi dongle, which would cost more than this. I've tried 3 dongles on my desktop, each struggling to maintain 30mbp/s. My work laptop sitting next to it hits 67mbp/s.
