I felt the same about Firewatch! Everyone say it was a really clever game etc, and it's interesting in parts but there's also loads of tedium in it and aimless wandering around. I suspect Ethan Carter is going to be the same, so not one for me.
Still, it's a good price as long as you're aware of what you're getting (or not getting).
