The most common stereotype of a Yorkshire person is as tight with money: there is a British saying that "a Yorkshireman is a Scotsman with all the generosity squeezed out of him", which references how Scots are also stereotyped as being tight but not as tight as Yorkshire folk. There are people who like to wash dishes under running water, not in a bowl of water, for them, it might save water :smiley:

Because not all water is used in filling up a bowl. Aerators mix the stream of water with air to reduce the flow of water. This is how it reduces water consumption. It also reduces splashback as it directs the water stream to prevent those high pressure jets of water you get with unaerated taps.

I understand how they work, but I see very few uses. Also, using these with hot water will reduce the temperature of the water; less water, more gas!

not every water company give it for free. yorkshire water and Scottish water charge about £6-£7.

It's back in stock, but anyone can update on how well it works with combi boiler flow of hot water.
I found my Worcester 30i greenstar not heating up for small water flow :disappointed:
