Not as good as the £13 deal a few weeks ago but cheapest I've seen since that deal expired.
J.J. Abrams directs this seventh instalment of the epic sci-fi film series in which Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill reprise their roles from the original trilogy. Set 30 years after 'Return of the Jedi' (1983), the film follows Han Solo (Ford), Princess Leia (Fisher) and new characters scavenger Rey (Daisy Ridley), former stormtrooper Finn (John Boyega) and X-wing pilot Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) as they face powerful forces from the dark side in the form of First Order commander Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and his master Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis). The film was nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Original Score (John Williams), Best Visual Effects and Best Editing.

I got the Asda £13 deal too - some very good 3D effects in this one.

How does this 3D version compare to the cinema 3D release, which in my opinion ruined the movie.

I think it's pretty much the same. I watched the film in IMAX in Las Vegas last December, and the one standout 3D bit that I remember from both the IMAX and the 3D Bluray version is Kylo Ren's Star Destroyer seemingly about to poke me in the eye. I thought the 3D was great at the cinema.

I watched it 3 times in the cinema, 2 times 3D and the last in 2D. I founf to much 3D blurr in the movie.

I found it much more enjoyable watching at home - the Americans are awful co-viewers at the cinema - whooping every time an OT character made their first appearance and shouting "Yeah!" and "USA! USA! USA!" every time the resistance landed a shot.
Almost as annoying as someone using their mobile in my peripheral view.

Yep, I'd hate to watch a movie in the states. You always get that same one guy in a baseball cap, standing up and coughing.
