HD-ready on a 32" screen is of no consequence in typical domestic TV applications (comfortable viewing distance); only becomes not ideal when used in near-field applications such as PC monitor. Would be more interested in picture quality rather than resolution, and UMC usually manufacture TVs with acceptable PQ for Sharp.

Not voted either way, but £149 for a 32" TV seems like a load of money when you consider some of the deals for 40"+ sized TV's. I get that not everyone has the space for a larger TV or bedroom TV, I'm currently in the same position myself looking for 32" TV for the bedroom, but was hoping to get one closer to the £100 mark, but not much choice out there :disappointed:

The Axminster Tesco store still has this Sharp 32 HD Ready LED TV for £119. Seems to be worth looking out for if you're in the market for a TV like this.

I saw a Sharp 32" for £119 in Enfield on Tuesday though I don't know what model/spec it was. pretty decent for the money though as I've mentioned previously it's basically the same as a non-brand make as Sharp do not design/manufacture TVs anymore, its just a brand licence.

I wonder why so many sites only take pictures of the bare case of the tv rather than show it with the logic board fitted and external connectors.

The harman/kardon sound system is just licensing. It's more than likely the same as other UMC sets just with the fake surround sound option enabled by default. They do the same on laptops nowadays and its equally rubbish and no indication of sound quality improvement.

UMC are using some decent cases now for some Sharp tv's to match the Hisense cases but no sign of it here it just looks very basic and cheap.

I've not hit cold but don't see this as much of a deal myself. This seems about full price for a UMC 32" 720p set. £99-110 would be a deal.

yes you maybe able to get a bigger TV for that price range but 32inch personally ideal for a bedroom anything bigger is just silly.

Just bought a 32" Samsung (UE32K5100) for £219 from Richersounds. Not the best price, but as it includes a 6 year guarantee, that's the equivalent of £3.65/month (less than a £1 a week) for a guaranteed, quality TV over 6 years.
1080p, newest model. Doesn't have smart functions built in, but I have my android tv box with Kodi plugged in.
One of the few modern tvs with front facing speakers below the screen, so sound is fine for the bedroom.

Went to local Tesco last night as current bedroom TV was returned for a refund. They had next to nothing in after the sales except for some 50"+ TV's. i have the Sharp LC-32CHE511K as a bedroom tv, only paid £139 in Feb - a deal on here that came with 2000 clubcard points. I would only recommend if you consider it a bargain, yes it works but the picture is shocking compared to a 5 year old LG I paid £230 for. The colours are poor and the picture is just lacking sharpness/detail even though I have tried to tweak it. One major niggle is that the remote is some kind of Bluetooth device so you cannot use a sky or youview box for volume/power = need to use 2 remotes if this is your set-up.

Haven't voted either way, just hope that helps some people make a decision - I don't feel too hard done by as it's for the bedroom and I got £80 of bella italia vouchers during clubcard boost with mine.

Sharp are awful TVs and have terrible aftercare
