Grabbed this the other day when it was on Amazon Lightning. It is a great pushchair - really happy with it. Only slightly annoying thing is the basket underneath isn't huge and there isn't a pocket at the back. Small things :smiley:

Would anyone recommend one of these for my first pram or would I also need a travel system with carry cot? I already have a baby car seat. Both say fully reclines for newborn but I want to be safe. Thanks

It would be fine for a newborn but I'd definitely recommend a cocoon insert for it.
Personally I'd prefer a travel system which you can transfer the car seat onto as they always fall asleep in the car and your child may easily wake when you try to transfer them! The only thing with that is you have to watch how long they've been in their car seat for?

It depends on your personal preference. Pushchairs that lie flat are suitable for a newborn though I agree with the recommendation to add a cocoon as they usually like to be enclosed.
If you travel by car a lot then definitely get one you can clip a car seat on. If you drive to town or a friends you can let baby sleep in it for a bit. I wouldn't worry too much about that they can't stay very long in it, they need cuddles, fed and changing more frequently than the duration they can stay in it.
You can get a pushchair with a carseat or get one that includes the carrycot. If you want baby to face you when lying flat you need either a carrycot or a pushchair that the seat detaches to face you or outwards so you can see baby. Not all reversal seats are suitable from birth so do double check.
For me the most important aspect of any travel system is that the compatible car seat does really well in crash tests. besafe, cybex, Maxi cosi and Britax have great reputations for exceeding the minimum safety requirements. adapters can be bought for many brands of pushchair.
For the pushchair bear in mind the size of your car boot, the weight to lift it in and out, big wheels if in the country, narrow stroller if mainly in town. Size of the basket and adjustable handle.
The raincover and cosytoes and car seat adapters can be expensive extras so if they are included all the better

I'm sure I saw on the news the other day that they shouldn't be in a car seat for more than 30 mins! That gets us about 10 miles with the traffic where we live!

I looked into that and apparently it is only for the first 4 weeks of life. Then they can stay in a little longer, but no longer than 1.5-2hrs. Hope that helps!

maybe try a armadillo flip or sola, the seat flips so baby can face you or the world and the carseat fits chassis. id keep an eye on mamas website they have offers on them every so often

Thanks for all your help. I managed to pick up an ex-display bugaboo cameleon 3 yesterday in John Lewis with carrycot for £390. One more thing off the to do list!
