was 179 on john lewis and 170 on currys I wanted to get it with john lewis so they price matched me

curry's and John Lewis had the galaxy tab A 10.1 for £159 approx 4 weeks before Xmas , gutted I missed it im hoping they come down again

Not a bad tablet, nice design and build but fairly basic in 2016 - you are definitely paying for the brand here.

Yeah I thought this might have been a reduction on the 10.1 but obviously not. The more I think about it though and the more I see the 10.1, the more I think 16:9 ratio doesn't work, I prefer the 4:3 especially for magazine reading etc so am still on the hunt. Would be great to pick up a Tab S2 cheap but that's unlikely. Tab S3 is 'supposed' to be here in the first quarter of 2017 and they reckon around the £400 mark. Saying as second hand S2s are still fetching prices in the high 300's I think I'll hold off to see how things pan out when the S3 hits the market.

I got given a 10" 4G version for xmas (works xmas raffle prize),
struggling to find a use for it TBH, at them prices might just ebay it.

Definitely paying for the brand here as others have stated.
I'm also in same boat as user above. Won Ipad Pro in work raffle. We had 6 as top prizes along with other tech. Personally I prefer android though :smiley:
