Completely disagree. The Pixel, albeit a good phone, is massively overpriced.
Huawei are making some excellent handsets these days and they sport some very useful features not found in stock/vanilla Android devices.
Take camera apps for example. The default camera app on a Nexus or Pixel is so basic you can hardly do anything with your photos. Huawei and Samsung's camera interfaces allow you to do so much more and fiddle around with loads of different options. My Honor 8 (and other devices) even allow you to keep the shutter open, so you can create some very nice looking light trails etc.
I've had near-stock Android phones such as the Moto G and Smart Ultra 6, and after owning a Huawei phone I'm amazed at how feature rich it is in comparison to a stock Android experience

Don't go for ID! It's bad and useless.

Care to elaborate?, the reception and data speeds in my area are excellent, perfect for a tablet data service!

Never had a problem with ID although their customer service could be better but their network is solid.

This looks like a good deal - I currently have a 3G Galaxy Note 8.0 that I just use for surfing but it is falling apart, this might be a good stopgap. Heat, thanks.

Great deal with the data included. I use EE for my main phone and their 4gee double speed is super fast but expensive for the amount I get. When the contract is up I'm moving it to iD which I use for this spare phone. I can upload at 100Mb/s. Through the WiFi router (EE) I max out at 100kb/s upload speed. It all depends where you live which provider is best for you. I can't get any signal at all on O2, and Vodafone barely registers too. No cable in the area so no superspeed broadband from any company. That leaves 4g my only option for a decent experience online and so far EE & iD have been the best I've tried. In other regions of the UK that might be different. Saying [insert mobile provider] are garbage, don't go near them is poor advice if you're basing that solely on the weak/non-existent signal you received from them.

Is this unlocked? It's not in the 'unlocked tablets' section of ebay, and I don't see unlocked mentioned in the details, but I do see unlock codes advertised online for this tablet.
Could the data sim be used be used in another device? (such as a mifi)
And (sorry about all these questions, but trying really hard to justify buying this to OH) can this tablet with the ID sim be used for tethering?

I know I'm showing my ignorance here but.. this is a tablet you can make calls on, right? Or, can you? I'm looking for something to replace my phone / replacement phone. I had a Samsung S4 but that broke - then I bought a Moto G4 off Amazon which was faulty and the "replacement" was stolen by one of their OWN logistics couriers... (NEVER again...!).
Now I'm broke and stumped. I basically need something that'll be okay for GPS and good battery / not fragile - I'm careful but a total idiot and accident prone. Any suggestions for phones / (or tablets that'll accept my sim card and allow me to make calls) would be greatly appreciated  merry christmas all and happy new year.
