I just buy the cheapest bag of oats. My favourite way to do porridge is to cook it using Soya milk - yum!! :smiley:

Can you do it in the microwave with soya? I buy the packets but use soya milk for muesli and cereals

Yes, it's microwaves very well! I usually let the oats soak in the soya milk overnight, so it only takes a minute in the morning and it's cheap as chips. If I use sweetened soya milk, I don't add any sugar or honey. Excellent for your cholesterol levels (porridge oats & soya combination). And if I make it with water, I might add some strawberry yogurt after it's cooked.

Soaking it beforehand helps and just stir it half-way through the cooking. It's lovely on a cold, frosty morning! :smiley:
