yeah agreed. my main reason for purchase is that finding a cheap-ish wide angle lens in m43 is quite difficult. this is, i think, as cheap as it gets for something as low as 12mm.

Very good price, worth a mention the splash and dust proofing are only if the camera is too, eg using with most of the omd series

I took this lens travelling in borneo and malaysia, I think it's better than it has any right to be, especially at this price. Super convenient, lightweight, sealed, good for video with the power zoom and the quasi-macro mode is very useful. I have the 12-40mm 2.8 now and this doesn't get used. But it's 5 times the price and 3 times the weight.

Quasi-macro? It IS macro isn't it? Seems to do a fairly good job though I am probably not expert enough to say!

24mm equivalent isn't even that wide

i looked on amazon... was sitting at 370... then sony brought in 75cashback on the 24th oct.... it went up 150quid at almost the same time :laughing:

2.5 year warranty when registered too. pretty good.

Even sub £300 it's build is pretty cheap.
