My son has a PS3 but has been pestering me for Mario Kart, not wanting to splash out on a Wii U (as i imagine it's going to be played a few times and not bothered with!) i picked up the original Nintendo Wii recently dirt cheap and the Mario Kart game.
Was looking around for the racing wheel and CEX are selling them for the great sum of £1, not for everyone i realise as the console is old but best price i've seen for these anywhere, this is the official wii one not the cheap version.

If you have a Collins Cash & Carry near you the Wii Star Wars blasters are just £2.99 (or 2 for £5)

To think that these used to RRP at £7.99 or something like that.
In practice, there is no difference between the 'official' wheel and the cheaper copies - they are just a plastic housing for the wiimote that serves no purpose other than to hold it horizontal in a wheel- like manner.
Poundland used to sell them (copies), and you can still sometimes find one in the odd store.

I'd agree with you on this, still nice to have the official product!

great price for the official wheel. Some copies are better than others, I've had blue and red wheels from ebay and both were identical to the official wheel.

Probably the worst way to control this game, cheap nevertheless

That sounds expensive, compatible with a wii?
As per the above its also for a 6 yr old lol

I personally prefer playing it with nunchuck in left hand and remote in right. Much more controllable.

It's for a 6 yr old lol, about the novelty of using a wheel
