As it says on the tin:
Motorola Moto G4 - latest 4th Gen. (NOT G4 PLAY!)
1Gb Data
500 mins
5000 texts
NO upfront costs or cashback redemption to achieve this price PLUS £33 cashback from Quidco - effectively making this £8.63 per month!
There is a cashback redemption alternative on the site, if you have the patience for those, which works out at £10 per month over the term and ups allowances to 2Gb and 1000 mins. the choice is yours.
As for the Moto G4, it is hands down one of the best budget/midrange handsets available - plenty of good reviews etc online.
For the money, I think this is one of the best deals around and I've just ordered one myself as a xmas/bday present for my brother (the lucky sod, I'm paying for it for the next 2 years!).
Be kind in the comments please, it's Christmas after all
NOTE: For anyone worried about running out of data, you can double allowances to 2Gb and 1000 mins for an extra £2.50 per month, and double it again to 4Gb and 2000 mins for £5.

I ordered a white one from them a few months ago and it's the dual sim model they supplied, which was nice!

I've just returned two of these... one because of the infamous "quiet notification" issue + the "phantom touching" issue; although this was the white version.... which I think the difference is white is duel sim and this isn't?
Anyone else had the same issues with this phone? Because I'm tempted to buy it again from elsewhere (NEVER BUY FROM AMAZON) but I'm unsure, as I've had two already and within a week they both had these issues....
edit: 24 month contact? Ugh, no thanks :P

Hopefully that would have been a bad batch or bad luck on your part. my mother in law has this phone and it is surprisingly good. the screen is amazing and the camera a massive step up from previous Moto Gs.
As for a 24 moth contract putting you off... erm, good luck finding anything like this deal on a 12 month contract! (if you can find anyone doing 12 months these days...)

Looks a good deal. The phone alone costs about 150 quid.

The phone costs £110 from the Motorola refurb shop pn eBay. I have one. Fine phone.
Plusnet have an ex cellent deal (1500/5000/4) for £10pm on a 30 day contract so you can swap when you find a better tariff
This deal is the usual 'its only a little to pay each month' CON that hooks many

They have been offering this on and off for a while, I took a look previously, but talkmobile is 3g only, so long as you are aware. Heat added

Snapdragon 617 and 2GB RAM, 3000 mah is this right?
£33 cashback = potentially £87 for a very decent UK phone and 12 months calls texts and data covered for a very light user.
I'd almost be tempted to keep mobile data switched off permanently so you don't get stung!
Also if you're looking for a phone for £90 I.e. You're in a simo contact I bought a ZTE Nubia Z7 Max from eBay located in UK and was really impressed.
5.5", Snapdragon 801, 32GB ROM, 2GB RAM, 3100mah, NFC, IR blaster. Seems as good as my Lenovo ZUK Z2, I can't tell the difference in speed loading pages etc.

Any way you look at this, it adds up to a great deal. With the cashback taken into account, you cannot go wrong. Great phone btw, super reliable and yes, the screen puts many other more expensive phones (hello Sony) to shame. Nice find, heat added.

Sorry, I'm a "SIM only" guy, I've had nothing but bad luck with contracts (3 and Virgin) so I'm put off and sorta 'happy' with GiffGaff - I'm sure contact-wise it's great, it's just "not my thang"
In regards to the phone Motorola have actually admitted (and are apparently soon to fix) the notification sound (link to follow);
So it does exist, (typical they decide to fix it the day I return the phone! But I digress!) maybe you just got lucky or something? Anyway I'm tempted to buy another Moto G4 but I need to be sure I can return it if it's been like the last two I've been sent....!
Thanks for the reply & promising news, I've been struggling to find a phone that beats it for it's price..
wife has had the phone for 6 months now very happy with it and got this deal but with 2 gig for 12.50 a month (9.50 after cashback claonkng over 2 years). also her mum has just ordered one..free phone decent camera and expandable memory whats not to like. talkmobile been fine with no issues so far.
Have a sim only contract with talkmobile and just bought this phone sim free from very 2 weeks ago for £145. Was a bit dubious at first because of the price but I'm really impressed with it. Battery is pretty good and the phone is super responsive. Anyone thinking about it i would definitely recommend it.

A got this deal a few months back and I'm pretty happy with it. A few notes...
1. Cashback wasn't paid for a 'Special Offers' phones when I bought it.
2. The is no notification LED*, you need to move the phone and screen comes on with a notification screen. I ended up getting NoLED app that keeps the screen on when I have a important notification. (yeah brutal on the battery but its a good battery and I'm an average/light user)
*After a month I noticed that when the phone ran out of battery and I stuck in the charger a white LED would appear at the bottom of the phone for a few seconds. I would have totally missed it if I hadn't been in a dark room.
On a slight side request, on the Moto Maker site there is a blue back cover, as I don't think Moto sell them individually ...has anyone found an alternative place to buy them?

Out of interest did you go with quidco or tcb for cash back?

Really? Where?! I've been looking for a deal on this handset for some time and it was always coming up at 500Mb data at £10 per month. How is this not a deal if A - it's the cheapest contract deal for a Moto G4 around and B - it has not been posted on here before in the last 6 months?
I realise that not everyone is a fan of contracts, this phone or 3G data but imo there are plenty of people out there for whom this will fit the bill just right.
I have been on 3G only until recently and I must say that since changing to 4G, the difference has been mixed at best. This probably explains it: UK 4G ranks 54th in world behind Peru and Albania

Nah mate I didn't bother going through as it explicitly said not available on 'Special Offer' deals... Worth a gamble but just a heads up that it's lower chance than usual for cashback paying out.

24 Dec 16#31
You're likely right. A workaround might be the cashback Moto 4G options on the mobilephonesdirect site, as they are not special offers but still cost £10 (or £10.50) after mobilephonesdirect cashback. As they are not on the special offers page, it's possible that those deals would quality for quidco or TCB cashback too. It's more messing about of course though.

is the black version of this phone ordered from mobile phones direct, a dual sim model?
weg43 to ihaveaquestion
25 Dec 16#36
Hi,on Motorola site it says dual sim available. I got mine, though a Plus version 4Gb RAM ,64 Gb ROM directly from Motorola and it was dual sim with Turbo charger. I am very pleased with it except for there was supposedly to be upgrade from Marshmallow to Nougat before the years end. Well they don't have very long for it to arrive now!
As far as the no led notification is concerned for me it's a non issue as there is an audio or vibe notification when new sms etc arrives and if you don't catch these,if you move the phone a visual icon will show which informs you you of anything unread. Cheers and Merry Christmas to all.
ihaveaquestion
25 Dec 16#37
Thanks for the reply. I definitely see this as the phone for me as I'm not one to spend over the odds on a new phone, but at the same time like one that looks the part and has generally good reviews. Hopefully this verison from mobilephonesidrect is the dual sim version. The first comment appears to suggest that the white version is, so hopefully the black one is too? Merry xmas to you too!

That's sad to hear as this and the 'Huawei Honor 7' are the only two phones that remotely come close to ticking my boxes... such a shame it's a common issue as they are apparently "fixing" the notification issue but haven't mentioned anything about the 'phantom touching' issue - which, with your reply (and frankly, Lenovos / Motorolas APPALLING 'support') I'm totally put off the Moto G4......
On a side note; can anyone suggest a good phone (Android, GPS, good battery, gyro, compass, tempered glass etc - basically something to beat the S5 / Moto G4) would be very grateful as I'm clueless and broke (not trying to be intentionally cheap!).
Happy holidays & a great new year to all!

I agree, re Lenovo/Motorolo customer support is shocking, one of the most incompetent I have ever come across. All they do is tell you to phone, but then you can never get through on the phone. They fail to deal with anything that is asked. The option to request a call back is broken.

Google lead me to http://www.gammerson.com/2016/06/enable-notification-light-moto-g4-plus.html (model up but I'm assuming same process) which lets you use that charger LED (well I think it's actually an LED to say the battery is drained) for notifications if you have root. Has anyone taken this on?
