It is a great game, and a great series.
It gets very difficult though, some monsters are nearly impossible without multiplayer (online or offline).
I would highly recommend it, you can get over 500 hours of playtime in this game and still not finish everything.
There's also a demo on the 3DS, if you want to try that.

Yeah, I have to agree, the Monster Hunter demos really don't do the games justice, and they don't really explain anything (The MH3U demo in particular was terrible).
It is still an excellent game for the price though.

Had this but traded it in as really didn't get on with it, but really tempted to pick up a copy for me and my brother hoping that multiplayer makes it more fun

Yes fella got an expired code. Tried it through 3ds and website same error code on both of them. Have contacted Game email support.
