Can these only be used with Windows phones? What are the OS limitations?

Can you use it as a dock/port replicator for normal Windows 10 laptop/ultrabook/tablet?

So yes, the purpose of this is for Windows phones... namely the Lumia 950 and 950 XL.. transforms them 2 devices into a sort of pretend Windows desktop - good enough for Internet browsing and watching videos :smiley:

My use case is to have the dock plugged into my TV, for occasional Internet use, Word, and watching movies.Plug mouse and keyboard in, perfect. Can take it away... without mouse and keyboard... use phone for input if needed when watching movies in hotel. Really easy. The app thing is a bit of a mute point when using in full desktop mode.. unless you need more than what I've said. For the price... it's a great start - looking forward to it developing.

I had one with my 950xl. Its not really worth more than £20 and a bit of a gimmick. Wouldn't go out of my way to get one to be honest.

I thought about similar but decided against it. With wireless beaming through the Microsoft Wireless Adapter or things like Chromecast you can achieve more and connect to more devices with no wires across the living room.

Tbh I will probably utlise the WIFI thing too, I just wanted a dock for a smoother 60fps display, rather than WIFI 30fps.

Hp workspace makes it better if your company apps are on it. It is bit like citrix.
