Ludicrous, imagine selling a TV designed to display the vast majority of broadcast programmes in native resolution. Much better idea to buy a 4k TV and pray it will be compatible with the programme standard, assuming you have access to 4k video.

I have voted HOT for the price, but i think it should be a crime to sell a 720p TV in 2016. Absolutely ridiculous when companies just want to milk customers who don't know the tech :disappointed:
And its not only LG, its all big shots including Samsung and Sony. Ridiculous

HD ready, so only 1366x768, if anyone was thinking of using it for a monitor.

I bought one of these for this price from Amazon on black friday, it's a good TV, picture quality is very good as you'd expect from a 2016 model. One slight irritation is it doesn't do YouTube despite it saying it does in the advert. Lots of ways around this though.

Slight over reaction, wether its 1080p or 720p on a 28" TV, It really won't make a differene unless you are sat less than 8" away from the TV.

I agree. Isn't it pretty much accepted that on a sub-32 inch tv 720p will look much the same as any other resolution? This seems to be a great deal.

It doesn't look the same. get a 720p and a 1080p TV and play 1080p content on both and see the difference.

Sat 6' away most people can't tell the difference on small TVs.

For me it makes a difference as i use it both for gaming and as a monitor, so sitting desk distance apart, it makes a difference.

Most people don't need a TV for that purpose tho, so for your specific needs you'll prob have to fork out a bit more
