Yeah...not really.
The i5-6200u has more than enough processing power for the average computer user. Sure, it'd be useless for playing modern AAA games or other high intensity workloads, but that's irrelevant as this laptop clearly isn't designed for those kind of tasks.
For browsing the web, doing office work, playing back 1080p video etc the i5-6200u will perform admirably for years to come.
In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if in lots of cases the relatively cheap, plastic body of this laptop fell apart before the CPU became so outdated it struggled with basic day to day computing tasks.

Sorry it's taken me a long time to get back to you.
I'm not sure that any brand new £200 laptop, especially one where the ability to convert from laptop to tablet and vice versa has had to be built into the price, will provide a very pleasant user experience, especially a few years down the line.
I think that an i3/i5, 8GB of RAM, a 1080p display (assuming 15.6" display size) and an SSD at least for the OS and most frequently used programmes are the four basic elements which need to be covered for a laptop to be pleasant to use on a day to day basis for "normal" computing tasks.
From there onward I believe that the law of diminishing returns begins to take effect quite significantly unless you have a specific need for something which a laptop with the above specs wouldn't cover (for example, AAA gaming would need a strong dedicated GPU and preferably a quad-core CPU).
I'm certainly no expert on the low end 2-in-1 laptop/tablet market, but on the basis that I wouldn't recommend a £200 normal laptop to anyone who could possibly afford anything better, I'm willing to go out on a limb and say the same for a 2-in-1.
I know it's not really what you were looking for, but that would be my advice to you (or anyone else).

Hmm that's odd, I have PMs enabled...I'm not sure what's going on there.
Anyway, I don't really know anything about Minecraft; it's really not my kind of game. If it follows the pattern of most other games then you'll want a well matched CPU and GPU (there's no point in one being vastly more capable than the other), 8-16GB of RAM and a decent sized (~1TB) HDD, that's about it as far as things you need. An SSD is a nice luxury to make loading times faster and the OS feel snappier to use, but it won't actually increase frame rates or allow you to use higher graphics settings during gaming.
If Minecraft does require decent graphics performance (I have no idea if its basic graphics are truly basic, or merely made to look that way) that's where your biggest challenge with £300-400 laptops will lie. It's not hard to get plenty of RAM, storage capacity and CPU power (in fact I'd expect to be getting an i5) from a £300-400 laptop but most will still be using the relatively weak Intel graphics which are built into the CPU.
If I owned a copy of Minecraft I'd test how well it ran on my i5 laptop, but unfortunately I don't.

Go to Dell Outlet. I just bought a factory refurbished (which in my experience means new) Precision M3510 Mobile Workstation with i5-6440HQ, 16gb RAM, 256gb M2 SSD, two large batteries (Dell quotes up to ten hours battery life for each), Full HD 1920x1080 screen, dedicated 2gb graphics card, Windows 10 Pro for £640 including VAT and delivery using a 20 per cent off voucher. Retail on the main website is over £1500, even with 30 per cent off. When I was looking I saw Latitudes and consumer laptops for your budget on the Outlet if you're willing to use a 6th generation processor. I didn't pay much attention to the optical drive though as I have a USB drive and hardly use it.

I suppose there would be less wastage doing it that way, you just need to find a decently spec'd laptop at a decent price which has both a suitably sized SSD and a DVD drive.
Whether you'd rather wait it out for a correctly spec'd and priced SSD+DVD laptop and use your 1TB HDD from your PS4 Pro or buy this one, get an SSD separately and "waste" the 1TB drive from your PS4 Pro is a question only you can answer, really.
I'm not even sure which I'd pick, to be honest!

Not at all, they're available from countless sellers for less than a tenner on eBay.
What I'd do is install a 250GB SSD with W10 and programs on it in the slot for main drive and then put the 1TB which came with the laptop in the caddy where the DVD drive used to be and use that for storage.
It's the cheapest way to get SSD levels of system performance, whilst still having plenty of storage capacity.

i bought this laptop during black friday but different spec, A12 9700p(slightly slower proccesor, similar graphics) from john lewis for £330 came with 3 year warranty and 12gb ram(despite advertising 8gb). It's an ok laptop for what i paid, build quality is very plastic, 3.5 hrs of battery and has difficulty running even old games but i wasn't expecting much anyway, mount and blade multiplayer( almost 10year old game) 40fps on all low/med settings 1080p. The mouse pad has trouble registering quick single taps which was disappointing but i use a mouse so it isn't much of an issue. i have felt a bit of lag initially accessing programs but seems perform faster afterwards (opening unity scripts took 12s first time, but after closing and reopening took 4-5s) this is more of an issue to do with the hard drive more than anything else, fairly quiet fans. Web browsing, unity work and watching videos have been fine for me.

The 4.7Ghz i5-4690k in my PC would be way more powerful than this i5-6200u, but it'd make no real difference to day to day performance and it'd make the laptop's battery last about 5 mins. More power isn't always better in every situation.
