Took the plunge last week with the Toys R Us deals and cashback, but John Lewis now has the Lego Palace Cinema (modular) at their new price, £101.99.
Looks to be a great set, and can't wait to get building!

£100+ for some plastic?
I would rather buy an iPhone instead, at least the phone works.
Seriously

I'm fairly sure the Lego works too.

The iPhone will be obsolete decades before the Lego will be.
I never understand this argument with Lego my 6 year old son has Lego that was mine when I was his age, so 30 years on and still working exactly the same as the day it was bought.

True I had my brother's, by the time I was old enough to play with it it was third hand and over 10 years old ! I had years of play out of it. if anyone as a family then buy Lego early it will last for years and so will the fun

Yeah, he's a bit of a let down.
Flawed logic, and perhaps doesn't quite understand priced by demand. This shouldn't be too far away from retirement , keep it mint/boxed and will be worth £200 on a bad day.

Yeah, we're talking 100% profit in about a year, perhaps.

This set is a bit boring, I've got it and built it a few times and it's not as fun as the others in the collection. Most boring is the emporium best one IMO is the fire station with the pet shop close 2nd

Yeah, the Fire Station is amazing. That was the first one I bought my daughter. Bought this set 2 years ago. I've still got an unopened Fire Station and Tumbler in the loft.

Using Chicken dinner's logic (£100+ for some plastic?), that makes the brand new fire station worth about £20, so if you could just go ahead and adopt their ridiculous logic and go right ahead and send me a paypal invoice and send me it. Many thanks

and back to the deal... modulars not often on offer so £20 off rrp is s good deal. I'm trying flubit, awaiting an offer will let you know if it's any good.

I got 4% off so £97.76 - not great for Flubit

no, but better than a kick in teeth. 1.15% tcb on flubit too
