Cough medicines do work, that is why they sell so much. But they only treat the symptoms not the cause. If you buy the same in Boots or Superdrug or any supermarket definitely triple the price. I buy one just in case so I don't have to run to Boots or supermarket and buy at triple price when needed at last minute.

Just because "they sell so much" doesn't mean they work! Cough medicines will not fix the underlying reason for a cough, you're much better keeping hydrated. Your choice.

it's not a miracle cure I know but for a cough/sore throat it may ease the soreness and not a bad price for the placebo affect
