The part code given, Hypertec AM327A-HY actually refers to 2 x 4GB DIMMs as a pair. They're also ECC Registered RAM, suitable for HP servers (but NOT the unbuffered ECC suitable for the smaller tower servers and microserver).
Almost certainly won't work in any sort of desktop machine.

It most certainly will! Most people don't realise but you can force these into USB ports. It also gives you a better picture on your TV if you force one into the USB port on your Telly.

Very misleading add. As the others have said this is 2x4gb server memory.
