They're not free of oil, ground nut oil is produced by pressing these. I agree these are lovely when roasted, but bogging if raw.

Yes true, but if you buy packed peanuts without shell in the shop, so many other things have been added to them, spoiling their natural goodness.

I didn't question the other things, but they're 50% oil so it's a bit silly to say they don't have any oil.

monkey nuts are raw, but even if they were fried in oil I'm not sure how that would change the fact that they're half oil already.

Alcohol has not been created today, not for children, comes with warning on packing, has been there for centuries. Perfectly ok if within limit and in moderation. The food items full of modern chemicals were not there 100 years ago. They don't even know the full side affects like alcohol but available for sale even for toddlers in this country.
