There's too many "failed to track" sales leads and declined claims happening, in my opinion. It's a system that doesn't offer any transparency and can mislead you into believing that you have saved money.

The only way to guarantee that you're saving money is to ensure that discounts are applied during checkout.
Not after.

On the limited information given, you're due £100. Can you imagine how many £100 kickbacks go astray, washed up "on the Beach"? Well, technically they're not missing. They're just being redirected to someone other than who it was intended for when the purchase was made and it probably doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to investigate into where it's been redirected.

No doubt you was expecting that payment kickback prior to purchase through a HUKD/Quidco promotion. This would potentially fall under the Misrepresentation Act 1967 [http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1967/7] but it's late and I'm too tired to wade through those particulars.

I asked a Quidco rep that occasionally posts here, and not surprising their presence given their direct affiliation, whether Quidco get paid per sales lead and when and who the actual referrer is during purchase, irrespective of whether the consumer gets a partial refund / cashback / kickback on their purchase or not. They essentially declined to answer a direct question, referring me to their FAQ where you can be pretty sure they're not answered there either.

As much as I can tell, they're also in bed with Amazon. That giant with over £5b UK sales (~9% global sales) but only paid £11m in tax. Companies that are great at taking your money, and for the most part, great and delivering your goods but when it comes to paying their fair share back out? [insert laughter]

I love HUKD and it's members but Quidco? Far from impressed and at times...smells like a coastal dock.

Hi
Exactly what I have been harping on about this deal is a scam, and yes HUKD ban me if you wish.
OP has been misinformed it is not £50.00 minimum at all its £60.00 as VAT is deducted.
Quidco and HUKD being a part of the same company should not let this happen and as they are - I smell a rat.
Voted cold as it is clearly false advertising - they clearly mention delivery is excuded (fair enough) but conveniently fail to mention VAT is excluded as well.
Shame on you Quidco - you are tarnishing your brand.

So they do! That shines a whole new light on my experience with Quidco!
A deal on here to sign up for a BT SIM deal offers £50 cashback.
I sign up for two deals, one for me and one for my daughter. Quidco states it has recorded my visit.
The cashback did not track so I filed a claim. I contacted Quidco and they said all was okay.
I was assured otherwise I would have cancelled the deal within the 14 day cooling off period.
Over a month after that they denied me two lots of £50 stating that they had failed to track.
After several phone calls to BT and Quidco all I could learn was that the refferal money went elsewhere!
I thought at the time the only other company that it could have gone to is HUKD.
I now believe this to be the case and I think there is a conflict of interest here.
I'll be writing to PAUL NIKKEL to ask him if this is the case.
Perhaps he'd like to comment here?

Hi deany76. Yes it was a mixture of books, toiletries, Christmas decorations and other stuff. Books were about £18 of the order. I know books are zero VAT but I still can't figure it out. Total order was £53.47 including VAT

With you appearing so knowledgable about 'Quidco' can you answer the question is this deal £50.00 minimum spend ie £50.01 and you get £10.00 or is VAT deducted (as is usual with cash back) making minimum spend £60.00
If it is the former great!
If it is the later why is this not £60.00 minimum spend?

• I'm sure may folk fall in the £50.00 to £59.99 spend category and expect to qualify for the £10.00

I followed the terms on the £10 cashback bonus for a £50 spend with Zalando.

I spent £56.31 but the tracked amount on Quidco is £46.92 and the earning are £4.12. Will I receive the £10 cashback bonus as the tracked amount is £46.92 even though I spent £56.12 as it didn't state the £10 cashback bonus is on £50+tracked amounts. Also will I receive earnings of £4.12 too?

how am i a troll just for setting things straight.

Just because a couple of people have struggled to follow the simple terms doesn't mean that it hasn't worked without issue for countless members.

If you can't deal with their requirements and timescales just don't use them, and dont get your self all wound up about it like that jabbering fool from yesterday.

If you really believe they are fraudulent, do something about it. But you won't because they are legit, and if you bothered to deal with it properly you would probably find out exactly what you did to mess things up - I notice you state no specifics of the rejected claims, this is probably you don't know the details, otherwise you would have a definitive answer on each. But rather than sensibly following up on them you come on here and blather on about what you imagine happened.

...and with 6 failed claims in a year you must be doing something special, I wonder what the real reason for those failed claims were ( if they existed ) , It's so laughable to suggest it would be any kind of fraud, false advertising or other deciet by quidco, you just make your self look ever the fool to suggest it, more so without evidence.

I can't comment topcashback as I hadn't used them, but I'm very sure they are also legit due popularity and longevity.

Now please don't make your backside any more jealous of your mouths capacity to eject perpetual amounts of feculence, if you get these funny ideas again just go straight to the doctor.

Thanks for sharing.

I've really woken up to the whole Quidco thing on HUKD, especially given how closely linked they are with common Directors and how in just this thread alone, there's quite a few disgruntled members who have been mis-sold a purchase. Some members (which appear fewer than those with issues) have been lucky in not experiencing any issues but choose to bury their heads in the sand when it comes to others making their legitimate claims known.

£100 here and there for one member and another may not sound like much to some, but it's a lot to many who frequent HUKD to save money on purchases and make it go further than other consumers. If, as I suspect, there are many declined claims, frustrated lengthy periods of claims, and failed tracking...someone is making a lot of money...from our purchases, that isn't being returned as a kickback to the consumer that led to a sales lead.

In determining where that money may have ended up. I generally look towards who is laid "on the beach" somewhere or who sits in a swish glass office.

Another ludicrous thing is that if you do ask them who the referral money went to they would say that they aren't allowed to tell you due to data protection regulations. Crazy eh? So somehow some person/company has sneaked in and said that they referred your sale, but you aren't allowed to know!

What a troll. Just because you have not experienced any issues with these cashback companies, doesn't mean others haven't. Both Quidco and Topcashback have in the past declined my claims, sometimes making me wait over a year before finally declining the claim. And these are all legitimate claims, where I have made the purchases in a new browser with cookies cleared, etc. Topcashback in my experience is the worst offender, making me wait over a year and a half on about 6 different claims, and then declining them. Ikonanddiva is right that the worst thing is that there is no transparency over any of the process, so these companies can decline claims whenever they like, and there is no way of knowing whether they have actually profited from your purchases despite declining your claim. Now my declined cashback adds up to over £100. If that is common for other users then we're talking about a lot of money that these companies could be making by withholding cashback, without any transparency or oversight.

Just about given up on Quidco now. I've had over £2000 in cash back over the years so consider myself pretty well clued up on how it all works yet over the last two years over 80% of my claims valued at over £200 have been declined. Raising claims ends up in a very longtime of slow updates email tennis asking for info they already had, lots of stalling tactics to prevent the raised claim being decided either way. I prefer voucher codes or direct to account cash backs at least your not having to deal with Quidco reps and their dreadful claims system.

I'm still not convinced that Quidco are honest in their methods. I joined Quidco on the strength of an email offer offering me £15 bonus on my first purchase through Quidco. It's taken three months of emails back and forth culminating in them telling me that they have no record of this email.

Ignorance is bliss. Where did I say that I was struggling?

Yes, people can be impatient but patience isn't the problem. It's the fact that many don't realise that it can take 4 months for a retailer to decide upon a claim in contradiction to other terms specifying that they'll be paid at the end of the month. It's the fact that the decision appears to go against one too many, who aren't given an appropriate explanation of where that kickback has been given to. As I mentioned with the tracking itself, let alone the claims procedure - there's no transparency. It's a win-win for Quido and some-you-win, some-you-lose for consumers. The question is how much are consumers losing? The support you claim Quido give has been diversive in the direct questions that I've asked them about specific parts of their business model. That absence or reluctance to reply only confirms my suspicion that all isn't right. No, I disagree (again); it shouldn't take months or a lengthy time to review a claim. Proof of purchase should be enough, let alone the very fact of a digital record of purchase. Time? I thought we was living in the 21st century, not the early 20th according to you in how transactions were poorly managed. Time is a one way street. Purchases are immediate and there's no reason to delay claims as they're essentially a reversal of that same transaction unless of course there's a benefit to the retailer/affiliate where barriers and time cause consumers to give up or forget about their claim.

Talking of stupidity (your words, not mine); I suggest you take your own advice and read through Quidco who don't claim that " they always come good". By their own admission, their tracking is flawed and doesn't account for 100% of transactions.

I have 6 independent LIKES on my post, regarding difficulties with Quidco and one member being diddled out of pocket by £100. You have 0 likes. Hopefully, that's clear enough for you.

You're quite a troll with the unprovoked personal defamation. On that note, this is the only and last reply I need to make to you.

Happy New Year

Jeez, people really struggle this much ? or maybe its just you.

I seen have people comment who are just impatient, it takes some time(as you would expect), months or maybe even up to a year, the terms and details explain it all and are very accurate, the critical details are also displayed very clearly and simply so by the sound of what you are talking about you have never even looked on the site to see how it works.

I see comments from a lot of impatient or possibly just stupid people who expect money to be in their bank immediately , start bad mouthing quidco without actually fulfilling the requirements , waiting the specified amount of time or even bother contacting support.

There have been a couple of times when i have had to contact support in teh last 10 years or so since it started, and they sort it out quickly with minimal hassle, the support ticket system is a lot better than many other sites i can think of, if they then decline you it will be because you haven't fulfilled the requirements, and they will tell you, its pretty simple really.

I imagine from the way you are posting on this you have a dislike for them, maybe you messed up and missed out on some cash you could have saved, seriously just go be butt hurt on your own don't put others through it captain.

You imply they are false advertising, so do something about it , unless of course its your mistake or failure to read, If you find their process difficult, or a 'barrier' you should really just give up on life now i think.

best of luck,

Hating? I don't see anyone hating. However, I see a surprising high amount of disgruntled consumers who feel like they've been mis-sold a discount and acted upon making a purchase with the belief that they will receive a kickback.

As for they always come good? You're suggesting Quidco have a 100% record of satisfying claims and tracking. Again, this is untrue. I don't mind people coming back at me, but please think about what you're writing.

Try reading the terms on the vendor's page? Most consumers (on here) do, and sometimes those terms are so confusing to your average Joe in the street who simply wants to click a promotion and be rewarded for that purchase. Not delve into paragraphs of terms and conditions that essentially there to create a barrier to a refund and protect the vendor/affiliate. Try reading the comments from HUKD members who have been waiting a very long time for refunds, declined claims or unexplained kickbacks being distributed elsewhere...

Just received an email from Quidco...not to worry as : "The bonus should be added into your account once your qualifying transaction reaches 'confirmed' status in your account providing you met the terms of the offer.

This should appear within around 30 days of your cashback updating to 'confirmed'.

If your original purchase has not tracked, please raise a missing cashback claim via the following link: http://www.quidco.com/new-enquiry

If this is not added within 30 days of your cashback being confirmed, do please come back to me and I'll be happy to look into this further for you."

Well I activated the offer, was eligible and spent +£50 so I met the terms of the offer. We'll see if I get promised £10 or will have to chase them

Yep, all my Argos "10%" track more as 2%, and apparently will be paid in March - this is for something I bought at the end of November. And my aliexpress purchase didnt track so it's a "claim" now. Quidco actually used to be good when they stated - back in the day that cashbacks weren't guaranteed. Not so trustworthy now.

The time for people to start complaining is AFTER the confirmation. comes through or IF the cashback is declined.

i only used this offer on boots, and there was 10 terms on the offer, only the last one mentioned about vat and delivery .
lots of people were upset on Facebook too and even I didn't know but luckily my order came to £26.

in future ask them on quidco Facebook or Twitter.

I'm still waiting on my £10 cashback bonus from a Black Friday purchase from Currys...

30 Dec 16 1 #65
Had activated the offer on quidco website, spent £55 at M&S...within minutes got new tracked cashback £1.84 from £45.84 purchase. So VAT was deducted. No chance for £10 from quidco. Very disappointing.

By the way...also didn't get £10 from xmas shopping in Boots yet, but made screenshots from their offer and my shopping. Quidco will pay finally if you complain to customer service and proof you have been eligible for the promotion. But it shouldn't be like that....

intresting, i hope I'm wrong for all the people who have gone through links on here, but has any body been paid yet from having a confirmed purchase ? i wouldn't take the chance unless you are going to make a purchase anyway, that is until someone confirms being paid from links posted here.
engowen
30 Dec 16 #62
I believe the reason it's slow in converting from tracked to confirmed is due to the nature of the sale as the return has been extended to mid or end of Jan hence they are preventing the payment till the return window is closed. I'm still wishing for my £10 bonus as other during the mid Dec promotion. I know quidco has been reliable based on my experience of 10y. Hope they don't back away from my trust in them.

30 Dec 16 #61
Not sure if it helps - but they posted this very offer on the Quidco Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/quidco

It lets you click it without "Liking" Quidco, so is surely open to all?

(NB I went hunting for this offer on the Quidco website itself, failed and thought FB was worth giving a quick check....)

don't think anybody will get any of the £10 cash back going through links posted on here, it is a/c specific only as far as I'm concerned, if you did not get the email invite you are not on the list of eligible people to get the offers, think theres going to be a lot of disappointed people, i have many a/cs with quidco and i have not received any of the past promo invites until today, i received an invite for this offer but only on one of my many a/cs, it clearly states in Ts&Cs that its email specific.

I read the terms and conditions and didn't see anything about VAT being added for the first offer £10 off a £25 spend at CDkeys. . If this is the case I will be leaving the premium Quidco and going to Topcashback. I saw the notice about VAT being added for the second offer at Argos though. I did query why the £10 was not showing and he said it would be added later.

Cold. Reading comments; quidco obviously aren't paying out or at least not quick enough.
jamesapple101
30 Dec 16 #51
First page of comments.... no one has received there cashback from the earlier offer this year.

Mt first thoughts...... avoid.

Not voting cold or hot.... but why this is so hot is very odd to me.

Imo and yes just my opinion this is a scam as nobody has confirmed there cashback. If u get it in three months time I will take my comment back

Also family member had quidco and linked there debit card and not single offer tracked for months now.

Seems they do as they please. Personally ain't got time for cash back services.
bonzobanana
30 Dec 16 #50
Still waiting for cashback from early august to move from tracked to confirmed with quidco and once confirmed there will probably months before its payable. Can be a very slow process with Quidco at times. In this way I find topcashback definitely better.

I've earned almost £2000 with them since joining in 2006 but in recent years I probably only earn about £30 a year because most of my cashback is with topcashback now.

30 Dec 16 #49
I done the Zavii £15 cashback if you join quidco and spend £15 on lego at zavii advert. Three weeks later after I chase it up they said I brought the lego after the qualifying date even though there was no date on the advert

Sorry but I merely posted the deal as noted on Quidco and have no further detail. Question for Quidco I think.
goldy12
30 Dec 16 #47
Quidco used to be good but lately tracking reliability is terrible , and when you submit a claim your waiting months for a response.
Only worth bothering with if you intend to make a purchase anyway from a certain retailer , don't do it on the basis of Quidco Incentives or Cashback
deany76
30 Dec 16 #46
Hi Yoshiiiii
Can you please confirm is the £10.00 paid on a £50.00 minimum spend or as with most cashback deals is VAT deducted so is it actually a £60.00 minimum spend?
Would really appreciate if you could clarify.
ps
I understand deliver cost is an exclusion
deany76
30 Dec 16 1 #45
I agree and if we are both correct OP should change to £60.00 minimum spend as it is false advertising (Quidco and HUKD owned by same group).
I hope we are both wrong, but OP or Quidco need to make a statement.
Klis
30 Dec 16 #44
If you click through the link and says deal no longer available OR when on the homepage it doesn't appear on the 'horizontal' scrolling offers, then you are probably not eligible.
randomnut
30 Dec 16 #43
Just a heads up, it seems like you needed to have received an email from them to be eligible for this.

From the t&c:

Participation is by eligible account holders making a cashback qualifying purchase at either Very, Debenhams, M&S, Argos or Liberty, and opting in via the link on the promotion page: http://www.quidco.com/incentives/ten-bonus-department1. A qualifying purchase requires the member to opt in and make a cashback earning purchase through the Quidco site, via the specified retailer pages, by 23:59pm on 02 January 2017.

Quidco holds a list of account holders eligible for this promotion. Ineligible account holders will not receive communications regarding the promotion from Quidco and will not be entitled to receive the £10 bonus.

Just read through all of the terms and conditions for this offer and apart from stating "purchase of £50 or more excluding delivery" even that doesn't make it clear whether it's excluding vat or inclusive of it.

If I had to guess, it's probably excluding vat as that is what seems to be the norm, I believe.
sdsff
30 Dec 16 #40
From the T&Cs:

"Quidco holds a list of account holders eligible for this promotion. Ineligible account holders will not receive communications regarding the promotion from Quidco and will not be entitled to receive the £10 bonus."

So how do you know if you're on the list or not? If you get an email? Very confusing terms.
Klis
30 Dec 16 1 #39
I will not be amused if the £10 cashback offer is invalidated because of the VAT deduction since it was never mentioned on the deal page.

If that is the case, then a mass contact to BBC Watchdog should do the trick....If HUKD/ Quidco are the same, I expect to be banned shortly for proposing such action....

I vote cold due to the fact I'm still yet to receive any money from 5 different tracked orders I've placed but I know it's futile as the admins can (and likely will) promote whatever deals they like for as long as they like with us users being none the wiser (they also bury deals from retailers who don't give them referral commision)
Sharpharp
30 Dec 16 3 #13
Has anyone here actually had £10 cashback given by Quidco on this deal and similar ones over Xmas from Quidco?
Obviously you are supposed to get the £10 once the merchant had confirmed it (could be weeks/months later), but from asking around, nobody has been given the £10 cashback when the transactions have been confirmed.

I'd urge everyone to make a note of the transactions, as I have a sneaky feeling Quidco are just using this as a gimmick and hoping quidcoers forget about the £10 incentive by the time the transactions have confirmed at the standard rate months down the line.
katestewart9279 to Sharpharp
30 Dec 16 2 #16
I agree. I got small percentage cashback but was supposed to get £10. I think it's just to get you to buy from these shops then have no intention of paying out. TCB are more honest.

Hi, I can conform I have received my £10 bonus cashback from a purchase made in October I think. You just have to wait a few months but it will happen.
On another note, just used this £10 bonus deal with Argos and the Xbox One Elite Controller with Dead Rising 4 (inc for free). After selling the game for £26 & with this £10 bonus cashback it works out at £63.99!!! BARGAIN!

For anyone stupid like me... remember you're not eligible if you return part of the order (as per usual with cashback, but still for any newbies thought I'd point it out )
deany76
30 Dec 16 #27
Hi
Are you sure that is on £50 inclusive of VAT
So in effect the retailer is paying £10 for £41.67 spent as cashback is always after VAT is deducted.
Example £51 spent inc VAT does that qualify?...or does it have to be £60.00 inclusive of VAT to qualify?
Thanks
varunadas
30 Dec 16 2 #26
I already asked and they said that I will get the £10 cashback 72 hours after I get the usual cashback to become payable. Not sure why they decided to do it this way.

When you activate the offer there is a small note saying
"Please note: We'll add your £10 cashback bonus to your account once your purchase has been confirmed."

Just a 'heads up' for folk I not totally convinced this is not £10.00 for £60.00 spent rather than £50.00 as mostly cashback is after VAT is deducted.
Quidco and HUKD need to make it clear whether cashback includes VAT or not
So is it
• £50.00 as stated on OP regardless of the VAT
• or £60.00 inc VAT
For the £10.00?
Someone really should speak up about this as many folk may be caught out and it causes unnecessary ill feeling all round.
