The V6 Trigger Pro (formerly known as the DC58 Animal) is Dyson’s latest handheld vacuum cleaner. It’s powered by the Dyson digital motor V6, which spins up to 110,000 times a minute – up to 3 times faster than conventional motors. This 350W motor has a higher wattage than its predecessor and contributes to the machine’s ability to produce powerful suction.
Powerful cleaning
Suction is also enhanced by 2 Tier Radial™ cyclones. 15 cyclones, arranged across two tiers, work in parallel to increase airflow and capture fine dust. Microscopic particles as small as 0.5 microns are captured from the airflow.
Better battery life
Delivering fade-free power, V6 Trigger Pro has a re-engineered nickel manganese cobalt battery that has been customised to provide the level of powerful suction and battery life that the machine needs. It recharges up to 3 times faster than others and delivers a run-time of 20 minutes’ powerful suction, or 17 minutes when using the motorised tool. It also has a Boost mode which provides 6 minutes of higher suction power at the push of a button.
Handy accessories
The V6 Trigger Pro Motorhead also comes with a Mini motorised tool for tough tasks. It removes hair and dirt from upholstery and confined spaces. The ergonomic design of this vaccum means that it fits naturally into the shape of the hand, with the centre of gravity located towards the grip for easy handling. As well as cleaning around the home, the V6 Trigger Pro is ideal for cleaning throughout the car – footwells, upholstery and beneath seats.

It might be the latest V6 model, but the latest models of Dyson's cordless vacuums are V8s!

I have the DC34, love it and still going strong. Are there any serious advantages to upgrading to this model?

Yes, it will make you feel warm and smug on the inside, also check out their fans and hairdryers. :smirk:

Thanks. Spent a while decising between this and the complete one on sale for £249 (from £449), but decided this was the option for us. Thanks for the deal.

No idea why everyone's babbling on about the V8's. We've got a V6 and it's really good. I was against getting one because twenty minutes battery (same as the V8's) for £150 is obscene but the missus pushed. Now that we've got it I love the damn thing. Easy to use, clean rooms quick. Battery is fine for the amount you can do.

I'm sure I've read the v8 has 40min run time with 150% more suction with a cleaner way of emptying the bin?

You're kind of right, except the battery life is really only 25 minutes..
Either way, both are good IMO. V6 is perfectly fine.

Just for a reference, the v6 TopDog at £129.99 around Black Friday, one more tool than this but I think this pro version is tiny bit slimmer in size. And the best deal recently IMO was the V6 trigger at £89.99. They all came with two years dyson warranty.

These are brilliant. Yes you can't do the whole house with them and you don't get the same power as a conventional vacuum, but they are so handy for little and often cleaning. House is much cleaner now we have one of these! (We got the V6 Absolute about 12 months ago)

Any idea how long these last in practice? My old vax handheld has just died after 2 years (won't charge anymore) and I barely used that
