Of course there are additional delivery costs, but the online pharmacies periodically offer free delivery (such as with the 6 month supply shown in the link).

I know that they have the same active ingredient and theoretically should work as well - but they just don't. :disappointed:

Sorry, cold from me. Personally, I think branded medicines are often a rip off and there is plenty of independent evidence that generics are just as good.
Places like Savers and Poundstretcher will usually have the Galpharm brand of loratidine and cetirizine at about 79p for 14.
As for the online pharmacies I would only buy if the online description included the use by date: once got burnt by a 'deal' that turned out to have 5 months out of the 6 past their use by date. Given the cost it wasn't worth the hassle of sending them back and trying to claim a refund.

7 loratadine tablets for 75 p is still ridiculously overpriced. If you buy branded OTC pharmaceuticals, you're flat out being ripped off.

If they don't work as well for you, it's because you get a placebo effect from the buying the expensive brand. So go ahead keep doing that if you want and enjoy your simultaneously dwindling bank account as a side effect.
