It is a Japanese movement (clear as day on the face). Doubt if you will get a Swiss movement watch for less than £50

cheap isn't it?

As basic as you can get, these type of watches went out of fashion along time ago and with the smartwatchs available these days who wants one of these.

Not everyone wants/needs a smartwatch. surely a watch that tells the time is smart enough for most peoples needs. I wanted a cheap watch that I could tell the time on, and nothing more. I've had mine just over a year and wear it for work all the time, Cheap enough to replace if it's knocked/scratched/broken. Heat added.

It is for mine. I've been using this watch for years. The battery usually lasts for a couple of years, at which point I simply replace the entire watch.
