Love that you don't count an iPhone as a smart phone.

So want to justify buying this... Can't, as I've already got a EOS-M.
Great price though, thanks OP.
Took this with mine last week, think you might struggle getting it with your iPhone.
It would probably have come out looking like this:

I know what you mean but one advantage is being able to use Canon Pro lenses with the adapter when trying to cut down on weight.

whats the benefit of those over a phone and a hx90? those things are fat so probably easier to carry the separate camera
its alot to pay for being able to do this

Can you access the photos on this camera from your phone while you're on the move without having to go to the inconvenience of joining a wifi network?
And is there any way to get the camera to save photos directly to a NAS or Windows share over wifi without having to install any weird software on the receiving end?
as for the other question no idea but i would guess no tbh but as i say a guess

And to prove that point, if it was better than the afore mentioned cameras they know you canikon blinded fanboys would pay the going rate +10% but they can't sell these inferior things hence the budget clear out pricing

No it's a Sony A7 wannabe but falls far short of the a6000 series even hence the price

A uto focu s is not that good, but for traveling and family pictures is great, especially for £200. They did already with Canon M5.

Canon used Sony CCDs in the ixus series and look what a disaster that was! For years Canon were offering a free CCD replacement!
