A uto focu s is not that good, but for traveling and family pictures is great, especially for £200. They did already with Canon M5.

I know what you mean but one advantage is being able to use Canon Pro lenses with the adapter when trying to cut down on weight.

Can you access the photos on this camera from your phone while you're on the move without having to go to the inconvenience of joining a wifi network?
And is there any way to get the camera to save photos directly to a NAS or Windows share over wifi without having to install any weird software on the receiving end?
as for the other question no idea but i would guess no tbh but as i say a guess
