I've never been a fan of the multiplayer in COD (not a fan of console multiplayer in general). I just like the spectacle of the campaign.

Despite them forcing you to sit through their intro video every damn time you start the game.Most people who buy COD games don't know or even care that games in the series are made by 3 different studios. I doubt most people that bought this differentiate infinity ward from treyarch or sledgehammer. Fewer still will know that Jason West and Vince Zampella left infinity ward(along with several of their people) to start Respawn. Sadly they've learnt the hard way that their names don't sell games no matter how good they make them.

I don't know what Activision had to pay in that settlement but it must be looking pretty damn cheap now next to the cost of a new studio setup and 2 failed AAA games!

I cant speak for every individual, but the vast majority moved to Respawn Entertainment or left.

It's a bit of an odd one this.

Every comment you read, people say it's bombed. Truth is, for a COD title, the sales are poor. But, as general game, it's outsold every other title out there, even Battlefield 1 which i personally think is the best FPS I've played in years. And I've played a lot of them!
I didn't like Infinite Warfare, I got lucky and got the Legacy edition fairly cheap so I could just have it for Modern Warfare.
But it's sales as a game, are up there above the competition. So, it's a little odd it's dropped this much so quickly.
Single player ain't bad, MP is whack though.

First cod i have played since mw3, and I have to agree with everyone saying it's terrible. I find myself playing remastered cod4 all the time instead of this

If only the remastered Bo2 on next gen. I could play league play with 4 mates for hours

All the talent left Infinity Ward after Modern Warfare 2. That's why the studio is now often referred to as Infinity Fraud.

Hot. I don't know why people say this is a flop. It's sold more than any other FPS on console.
It's not the huge numbers of black ops 3 but that was a returning story arc. Week for week it's outselling Advanced warfare(the last new COD story arc).
It's a COD game nothing groundbreaking but if you like COD games chances are you'll probably like this one as well. Sledgehammers Games turn next year rumours are it's based on Vietnam.

The talented members of Infinity Ward left after Modern Warfare 2 to form Respawn who have made the Titanfall games. Hence Modern Warfare 3, Ghosts and now Infinite Warfare have been rubbish.

Just make sure you try the free 'timed demo' that's on psn right now. I gave it a good go but it never clicked, too futuristic for my tastes.

Not my cup of tea as generally only play driving games but loved the 80's style zombie bit on the demo.

People are bored with the same thing year after year. If Activison gave COD a rest for a year and actually concentrated on making it a better game, it might lift both sales and enthusiasm again.

It still doesn't count as a rest for the franchise if they are still pumping out games and movies in the same year. Just because they aren't releasing massive budget AAA quality games doesn't mean they still aren't milking it. The only reason they even stopped those big budget AC games was because people were getting bored of the same old games year in year out and stopped buying them.

I mean there hasn't been a Triple A release, like Black Flag, Rogue, Unity and Syndicate...they have parked that for now.

Then just imagine how bad it would be if they wanted to milk the hell out of it.

How exactly have Ubisoft given Assassin's Creed a break? Just this year they have released those weird 2D AC games, an Assassin's Creed movie and a HD collection and that's just in 2016. If that's them taking a break then......

just make it more personal, doesnt have to be save the world and kill the main bad guy .... make it set in modern times or in the past ....

Also I am not picking sides, purely highlighting the fact that COD is now tired and could do with a break. Something that Ubisoft has realised with the AC franchise.

I'd rather the Ezio collection at £30 (3 games) than strap on one remaster for full price that you can't buy outside of the "Super hyper mega awesome" version of the latest COD release.

Played this over the weekend on the free trial. The campaign was ok, I might pick it up for that when it hits £10, but after 3 games of MP I turned off and uninstalled. It's a backwards step from the fluid combat of BO3, and two steps back from Titanfall. It even makes BF1 feel run and gun. If BO3 gets some more updates, that will be my COD go to if I tire or TF2 and BF1

Buy Titanfall 2 instead.
