Buy Nintendo 3DS NFC reader (£16.99) and get a Amiibo of your choice free (£9.99) at Sainsburys
Seems like a good deal
Bought today and was properly labelled so should be national
I got the new 30th anniversary pixel Link for my freebie so well pleased!
Cheers

What's a 3ds reader?

The original 3DS, 3DS XL & 2DS require these to read Amiibos whereas the "New" model consoles have them built in

Nice one  went in to my regular Sainsbury's a few hours after spotting this in another one and they had not marked up the shelves tut tut....but did ask for a price check and it scanned through fine there

Can someone tell me what the point of Amiibos is?

They can add content to certain games, depending on what model it is (Smash can train your own AI version of the character, Ace Combat get plane paints of characters, Yarn Yoshi's unlock new colours as a few examples). A lot of us buy them for cheap Nintendo figures of various characters that otherwise don't have merch.
