I've got the older model.... asking as you don't mind a kettle with a fog horn when you press on and it's boiled this is great :-)

We have it too. Read loads of reviews saying it was loud, but it's really not that loud at all in my opinion.
In fact it's really useful if you are in a different room when it's finished and beeps
