There have been other people posting the same deal from other stores however their posts have been removed due to being duplicated.. so I can safely say this is not limited to a single locale.

Hey thomasleep, you can sleep easy tonight, I just confirmed with a woman I know that works in Sainsbury's and she says the discounting on these items are indeed national. If you never made it to your local store today then head in first thing in the morning and hopefully you will be lucky and find some for yourself (assuming the vultures haven't been there first).

They had these in the Warren Heath Ipswich store on Christmas eve :stuck_out_tongue: Loads there when i left. Seem to be discounting lots of random ends lately... reckon its something to do with trying to reduce stock overlapping with Argos as they "merge" persay
