Even the standard tariff £26.50 p/m with £150 upfront and 3GB on O2 (via mobiles.co.uk) is cheaper than this. (£786)

Might well be the cheaper deal but I'm sure there are some who would prefer the zero quid upfront version. That is probably the main attraction of this deal for most who take it up.

If you split it down.
Cheapest 4G 2gb data with 1000mins is £7.50 Plusnet
Making the phone £25.99 a month x 24 = £623.76
The iphone 7 is £599.00 to buy outright
So you're only really paying £24.76 extra to spread the costs.

The O2 deal is definitely still live. The 6GB Vodafone one may not be - apologies, though it still appears on uswitch. O2 deal still works out cheaper than the OP deal and you get 1GB more internet.
