Never had a poundland one last more than a month, false economy. They also charge slower and are 1m not 2m (unless they've just started selling them?)
2m lightning cables in poundland, no not official Apple but neither is this one....

This cable is certified(MFi) by Apple while poundland cables are not.

Until it sparks and your house burns down. Please don't use any other cables than the original ones. Trust me even the certified ones have problems not to forget they burn the chip in the phone and kill the battery.

So when my cable breaks should I just throw away my iPhone and a buy a new one? Oh actually I need a lead for my car too! i better get 2 new phones then!

Any more info on this, my wife bought some amazon basics junk and it melted a genuine apple cable and the battery has suffered, it cuts out when still power in it, never did it until the incident
