Been tempted by this due to the reviews and to the £3 code on the page - not sure how long it's already there, I just found about the code this morning.
Hoping it will improve the number of channels I get - never had great signal since the digital switch over.

Why does watching BBC channels without paying make *them* the thieves?

these things are absolutely useless unless you live near a Freeview Transmitter station, but heat for the price

Thanks for the heat. After reading the reviews (not just on this one) it looks like you have to find a proper angle/position to get the signal right. For this price I'm willing to try it.

I had something similar previously and encountered 2 problems. 1.5m cable is too short to reach my windowsill and for best results it does need direct line of sight of a transmitter. As a result, I got zero channels. Didn't help that the nearest transmitter to me is some 15km away

you need a proper aerial outside or in your loft- depending on how high your house is.

Even when you get a signal, they dont last. I have had 3 1byone electronic antenna, and not one has lasted 18 months.
One of my Christmas projects is to build my own - I found various plans on t'interwebs.

Yup. Zero. Maybe I had a faulty aerial and maybe you will have more joy. Line of sight helps enormously. It doesn't take long to set up and if you have no joy, because it's via Amazon, should be easy enough to send back for a full refund

Thanks but not an option - lower ground flat and outdoor aerials not permitted. Hence why I have tried a number of these.

Exactly - Amazon = return/full refund. Reason why I'm getting one from there

Lower ground floor is one of the worst. I would try to look for some really tiny one, stick it on the wall outside and paint it over with the same colour as the wall. I don't thing anyone will complaint about it.
