I've been using this as a secondary to Photoshop for the past 6 weeks or so on Mac. Admittedly I've only being using it for exportation of .svg files for work, as I mainly use Photoshop and other programs to get my end result so I've not really had much chance to play around with it, but I do intend to do so as I believe that it will eradicate my need for two separate programs when I finally get my head around it
Cool story, bro. TLDR: I really think it's got great potential and it easily worth the £29.99 asking price. Heat added mate.

Photoshop does have an alternative with no subscription - it's called Adobe Photoshop CS6 :smirk:

Really? I thought they gave up support in favour of the creative cloud with a monthly...hmm. Any links for price comparison?

tbh i tried gimp and struggled to do the simplest of tasks - guess it all depends what you are used to

All these sorts of tools take a lot of getting used to i feel. The vimeo tutorials seem like a nice thing for affinity here. The getting started alone covers a lot of the basics which I have found useful this afternoon

Serif are horrible people who market their goods using pressure sales techniques over the phone to vulnerable groups.
I've been there, passed the tests, seen the reps at work, turned down the job.

Well I have just purchased to replace my ancient version of Photoshop that stopped working with Windows 10.
Hopefully it's good and not too complicated as will only be doing fairly basic stuff with it.
Opening post
Looks like it is really simple and powerful with nice tutorials available here:
