I recall a time, about 4 years ago (or so?), when the 7" Acer Android Tablet's were knocking around the £100 mark? (or there about's?), now £50 odd is the standard more accepted norm'?. :-)

Welcome to tech.
Businesses write off hardware purchases over 5 years, so your £100 four year old tablet would be worth £20 now. Pretty much all smartphones bought in the last 4 years will have better specs than this tablet, bar the screen size. Windows tablets with better specs have been available for years too, so this thing is over-priced and/or underpowered.

Wouldn't recommend this, quite slow at times and sometimes have to repeatedly tap to open apps etc

I bought one of these about a year ago or so from Sainsburys( got it for £49 on clearance at the time), I think they're pretty decent for 50 quid. Only gripe with these is that their wifi strength isn't that great and you have to be fairly close to a router for it to get good signal. Great for browsing the internet at home or watching movies on the go. It handles games like GTA SA just fine.

Very similar to the kindle fire 7 spec wise.
Seems like an ok deal regardless as it will be standard android.
Not sure how I feel about the low spec tablets tbh.
