**EDIT**
RRPs are a bit off... According to Cambridge Audio's website...
Air 100 = £200
Air 200 = £250
Still... you're saving £50 off each!

Had it confirmed by RicherSounds that those were indeed the RRPs for a good while.

These were originally £400, I think they have been reduced on the Cambridge Audio site too, but they don't show the original price - review here from launch showing £400 price- http://www.whathifi.com/cambridge-audio/air-200/review
I had the original minx 200 version (link above is the new V2) - may not be a sonos but is great if you need additional connection options such as airplay, 3.5mm or phono which the sonos lacks.

The lack of connectivity in all but the play 5 is still the downside with Sonos, I love mine but... I still cannot stream from iplayer or my Rio Karma without a workaround or two (my house is too small for a 5)

Chromecast audio is the cheapest way to enable multi room audio and you can convert a proper hifi rather than just a speaker.

Agreed. Chromecast audio works flawlessly and you can use your existing equipment. I'm surprised people still spend hundreds on gear like this.

The Air 200 V2 was originally £449, I got it at £249 ,a bargain and at the posted price blows Sonos, Bose etc away in terms of sound quality, room filling sound ( it's loud ) and connectivity.

Isn't chromecast for your tv? What if you don't just want the music in your lounge?
The point of Cambridge Audio and SONOS is the multi-room element. I have SONOS in the lounge, kitchen, office and bedroom... which can all play the same thing at the same time, or can all play different songs in each room.
Can the chromecast do that? (That's a genuine question by the way!)

Personally I'm sticking to the SONOS, but a great speaker if you already have CambridgeAudio.
