I've just been in the ikea Southampton store and seen Christmas trees for £5 plus you get a £20 voucher to spend in store from January. Great offer for the voucher.

Makes me cringe when I see people driving along with a real Christmas tree strapped to the roof of their car,the damage they must do to the paint whilst rubbing all the way home

I bought my tree from the Warrington store and they sold out at the start of December!
The deal is pay £25, get a tree and a £20 voucher to spend in January/February. So you're bound to paying IKEA £25 either way. No minimum spend on the voucher.

I'm curious about this too.
It's basically free money if you're planning to shop at IKEA.

There are separate Ts&Cs for the issue of the coupon which wendyak has mentioned and Libz53 has now posted about the situation at Southampton.
I've just checked my coupon and there is no minimum spend (you could likely use it for a £19.99 spend and forfeit the 1p if you wanted to) and interestingly there is no mention of one per transaction like there usually is on such coupons. Valid 16 Jan - 12 Feb.

Is it minimum spend on voucher and is it one per transaction ? just checked t&c and they should only issue vouchers for full price trees, it has nothing about one per purchase, but can only be used after 16th jan and before some time in feb .....grab em if they are offered I say x

Anyone seen if trees are reduced at any other Ikea stores? Is the reduction nationwide or only Southampton?

Southampton will only let you buy 1 tree for 5 pounds and only issue 1 20 pound voucher per customer.
You can only use 1 voucher per transaction and no minimum spend.
But yes if you have common sense and are planning on visiting ikea southampton in the new year it's good to pay 5 pound for a 20 pound vocher and then take the tree if you want it
