Not sure how i feel about these enclosures, i have a couple of older USB 2.0 ones and when in use the metal casing got quite hot and i ended up barely using them.
Seems cheap if needing to backup now and again though but not having the drive constantly powered on? I was unfortunate enough to get infected with the CryptoLocker ransomware recently and a ton of my files got locked, even on my connected backup drive.. guess that teaches me to keep offline backups from now on.
This is cheap and USB 3, maybe I'll order one to keep an offline backup. Again though i think heat becomes the enemy of these small enclosures without fans, if left powered on a while anyway.

Just spent £50 at Amazon before seeing this, won't let me order it without spending £20.

You can amend you order and add this item in (if its not dispatched).

Can I ask how? I have a lightning deal of £20+ awaiting despatch that I do not want to cancel but see no obvious way of adding this item.

Just checked my order (awaiting dispatch) and there is no option. It may be that it is only just after ordering or it may have been there years ago and I never noticed they removed the option.

I spent some time about a couple months ago as I was getting an enclosure case for one of my HDD. I was looking for something premium and reliable but I found on Amazon and other places that it was all these brands I've never heard of, mostly seemed all cheap Chinese makes. Even the reviews were varied.
Best just to buy the cheapest one you can get. I've bought one one ebay for under £2.99 for a usb 3.0. Works fine.
