i had the standard version on xbox one but sold it ages ago. will i be able to get my old saved game play from cloud storage if i download this digital GOTY version? cheers

No. GOTY Edition forces you to restart campaign when the original edition does not
I've got some xbox one credit tucked away, that hasn't been spent on COD as it normally would be this time of year so it looks like it's time to give Witcher 3 a go.
