I found these wine glasses in Home Bargains today selling at £0.59 per glass. They were a good quality glass and weight, not thin at all where you wonder if they are glass or plastic. A good buy, at this cost it doesn't matter if you have breakages at parties or whilst washing up. On the shelf they have them in a pack of 6 carrier box, but you can buy them singly. Found these in the Coulby Newham store near Middlesbrough

Check out Riedel wine glasses, they're are pretty expensive, and they're about as thin as it's possible to get. Thick glass is a sign its cheap !

I hate to have a thin glass, I feel as if you bang it against your teeth in error (probably when a little tipsy), and it will break. The same as when you wash them up, I don't want my hand to get cut - something a little sturdy you know you can handle is what I prefer. Each to their own - I feel I have more "material" in the product I have just bought
