I don't know whether Wilkinson's are clearing out all their own brand AA and AAA batteries but a pack of 4 for 50p are a bargain.

Why are they crap? they are alkaline batteries, same chemical elements as duracells and about the same mAh so not sure how they would be any worse if not better.

They are always this price. I buy them regularly, ideal for kids toys when they have a habit of leaving them switched on. Better than wasting expensive ones!

Yes for the AA Versions but.....
I've been using these batteries for the last couple of years in torches, remote controls, Yale PIR sensors and have not had any leak yet. In fact if you google any battery manufacturer and then 'leaking batteries' you will see many negative reviews (I saw one for Duracell that said they had blown their laptop up)

They have positive ratings comparable to Duracell and they are always this price OP.
8 packs are 95p so a smidge cheaper per cell.

Surely that's the normal price.... I bought some last year when they had 8 pack of AA/AAA for 50p each, won't be buying again as they are utter crap!
