'Salon Professional', lol ... Ok, so a little exaggerated, as tresemme would never be used in any salon. However, not the greatest irons but will do the job if you have fine hair. Not really suitable for thick, coarse or frizzy hair. You'd have to really section the hair in fine sections and straighten through little by little to see results. Not great results if you're a 'grab a chunk and whip it over' kinda gal x

Any recommendations for a straightener that doesn't break the bank but is still up to the job  Heard some good things about corioliss. It's for my 13yr old daughter and I dont have a clue
If your daughters hair isn't too thick or naturally curly / frizzy babyliss pro 230 would be a perfectly good set for her and can be picked up for a good price in sales / with discount codes.
Alternatively salon pro brands that I'd recommend are:
Cloud 9 (original or wide plate, NOT touch)
GHD IV (I personally don't think the newer fancy colour ones work as well or last)
Corioliss
Ego
Remember to keep receipts/proof of purchase and register product if necessary. Also make sure your daughter always uses heat protection to protect the hair and reduce damage to internal hair bonds x

I've always sworn by GHD's. But I bought these as a standby after reading the reviews on Superdrug. I have very thick (straight) hair, so I gave them a try yesterday. Cranked heat up to 3 and was really pleased with the result. A bit heavier than GHD's but I'd recommend them
