Standard 2 year warranty - when I had an older model Toshiba 2TB external drive fail on me, Toshiba shipped out a brand new model rather than a refurbished old one as WD and Seagate usually do.

Good deal, want an external sshd personally but think I will have to make my own by buying drive and caddy seperate. Heat added!

Man I had a Toshiba 3TB fail on me already, it wasn't even used can you believe that. It was installed as a secondary drive for someone who never got around to putting anything on it They literally only ever used their primary SSD for general stuff all the time. It was an internal one though, and the day i went to backup up all their data to the drive to refresh Windows it packed up.

I have Canvio 4TB, have in mind that it's loud and hot drive. I don't mind that for backup, but if you use it frequently might be a problem.

The 4TB Canvo product is a very different hard drive - the 3TB drives run cooler and a lot quieter. You still have to watch temperatures - as all external drives will get hot if run over extended periods.
