No idea why people are putting the area down, just spent three weeks there and it is utterly fantastic, miles better than Orlando.

.....and head to Northern California, otherwise prepare to be in 5 lanes of congested traffic heading further into the scrubland 'delights' of Orange County, Riverside and San Bernardino.
Of course, unless you are passionate about seeing areas GTA V are based on and enjoy the picturesque views of where Trevor lives....

Carry on 23 kg seems rather excessive would think that would be hold luggage
6 kg carry on seems about the norm
Cracking deal though

As far as I believe 23kg hold baggage is included on long haul. Could be wrong
Regardless, great offer. Especially that it's from Manchester

last time I checked (4 days ago), carry on has a limit of 6kg, whereas BA is 23kg, plus you're allowed a laptop (no mention of bag) on Thomas Cook, but a suitcase/laptop case on BA.
Probably not an issue to some, but if you're moving to California it can be.

Booked - thanks OP.
West coast here we come. Can't go wrong for under £300. The planes are okay, went to Florida this year with them, no issues.
Definitely includes some hold baggage, btw.

I'm going to California on honeymoon next September, very tempted to book at this price, £800 pp return for premium seats. Anyone know how this compares to other airlines prices? Worth holding off for a deal in the new year?

I paid £1200 for LHR-LAX, LAS-LGW 2 years ago so Id say bite their hand off its an amazing deal.
If I had the money id jump at it.

I've been to LA this year and just got back from NYC last week. Flew with Thomas cook to NYC and got to say I would defo fly again with them long haul.
Bigger leg room on flight to NYC compared to flight to LA with BA.
6kg hand luggage included. They don't check the weight on way home.
23kg hold baggage included on all Thomas cook long haul flights.
I believe meals are also included in the price.
I absolutely love the California coast line. Went there on my honeymoon 10 years ago and would go every year at this price.

Bit of a late response I'm afraid, but I'd keep an eye on Air New Zealand's premium economy seats for a fancy trip to LA. Prices go up and down a lot, but £800 each or less should be very doable. Nicest premium economy I've seen, tons of space and if you're a couple it's quite private as the seats are arranged in pairs. (I've only ever flown pleb class myself, but looked with envy as I walked past those seats.)

Having relatives and being to SoCal 13 times and seeing more than the average tourist attractions, it is far from fantastic. We probably will go for this deal though, sadly relatives are the only reason for visiting such a scrubland dump.
