The Light cinema has just opened in Bolton town centre and it looks fantastic. All tickets are currently £5 when you book online for any time day or night - and they do not charge booking fees or have any VIP seating to pay for - all the seats are the same price.
Looks like a great cinema

I'd happily pay twice as much if it meant I didn't have to live in Bolton.

Don't have to live there, just have to visit to go to the cinema.
This is an excellent price. Current normal cinema prices are ridiculous imo. Worth mentioning that even 3D shows are £5. Is it an introductory price or their standard price?
The only downside is that Bolton council haven't created any cheap parking in town.

good price but do they only have two screens or something? the schedule suggests they don't have many screens as certain Films are only shown once a week

Yeah exactly, great price
There is cheap parking. The Marketplace car park is free for first 90 mins, then:
£1 for 90 mins – 2.5 hrs
£2 for 2.5 – 3.5 hrs
£4 for 3.5 hrs+
I think it has 8 screens?

8 screens and in addition to the above, parking is free after 6.00pm
Been today and was offered the free parking token, but we'd gone on public transport this time. The seats are sooo comfortable!

Are you supposed to pay & display when you're at the car park and then you claim it back from the cinema?

It's The Marketplace multi-storey car park - the one where you drive round and round to get to the top. You don't pay and display. You get a yellow chip when you enter, which you use to pay when you leave. The cinema will validate this / swap it for one that will let you out for free

Thanks, I went last night to see Fantastic Beasts. Very good cinema, seats are comfy but it'll be interesting how long they last as they don't look hard wearing. Very roomy and nice that they keep the lights on until the main movie starts.
Will be going again before the £5 offer ends (8th Jan).
