I thought this was a good price for the Hobbit trilogy, it's the extended version on blu ray which also comes with the 3D version as well.
Amazon also appear to be running a promotion if you spend £50 on select blu rays you'll get £10 off. This blu ray is in the promotion.

The original cut was 6 hours too long, why would anyone in their right mind want an EXTENDED version??

According to CamelCamelCamel this is the cheapest it's ever been:
I have poundland £1 dvds for all the hobbit films.

Good deal - but why not buy the books? I know times have changed but as a youngster used to love unwrapping nice hardback editions at Christmas. I must stop wallowing in nostalgia.....

Depends if you have sleeping problems, insomnia and sure £12 is great value for a decent nights sleep

Yes they are and so is the extras. Different films with the missing content, just like with the Lord of the rings extended editions.

Been waiting for this to drop from £40 for a while. I bit at £27.99, bought my dad a copy as well and with the voucher they came out at £24 each. Bargain.

And a fairly SLIM book; the film footage comes to better than 1 1/2 minutes per page - including title page !!!

Shame the films aren't too good...
Has anyone got a link to the others in the £10 off promotion?
