is it worth going for legendary edition, as I've already got the base game. It is cheaper to do it this way than buying the DLC via steam. Are the additional features worth it? I've recently reinstalled it to pick it back up after wandering around shooting animals / horses so it maybe worthwhile now?
I see they do special edition with more textures and whot not... just to add to my confusion (over spending less than a fiver!)

I have a few hundred mystery games! It's my Steam library... No idea what's in there, been a long time since I've seen it

FYI: Skyrim Legendary Edition no longer updates to Special Edition (2016 remastered version) :disappointed:

voted hot. just the DLC alone is worth this. Shame about it not being upgraded to the remastered version. do you know why that is?

The remastered edition was issued as a timed freebie as a thank-you to those that had already purchased the game.

"The Evil Within" is definitely a fun, challenging game, that's if you don't mind grotesque enviroments and horrifying enemies.

That's right, think the offer was on until October 28th

But isn't the only difference the high resolution graphics? If so can't you mod that for free?

I bought this from cdkeys a couple of hours ago for more. I suppose no chance of a refund from them?

That, and a number of bug fixes and stuff, but yes, if you're happy to tinker with mods, you'll get a much better game out of the original than the remaster.

For now, yes.
But the remaster (Skyrim Special Edition) is an updated 64-bit engine (more or less the Fallout4 engine), so eventually if the mod community ports things over the remaster will be better. Lots of mods with the old engine can run into resource limits and the new 64-bit engine should help those.
Of course, this depends on whether SKSE can be ported over as without that far too many mods don't work.
As it is currently, Skyrim Special Edition doesn't even have a decent UI mod as Bethesda liked their old bad one so much :disappointed:

Indeed. I know that SKSE is going to be a while, and the mods after that, but I suspect this offer'll be finished by then.
