I've had five of these in three years and my sister three in two years. Yes five since they kept all breaking and learned my lesson after the first one to take out the Argos extended warranty. Last time Argos swapped me for a Phillips AirFyrer and I must admit from being a fan previously despite them always breaking I much prefer the Airfyrer now.

These are great appliances. If you don't need the bigger one then this perfect for all of your frying needs. We had the original and now the largest one they make and we'd never go back to deep frying again.
Safer, cleaner, and no nasty smell either

Although the title on amazon says 1.2 kg, if you read the description, it says 1kg capacity!!
1 kg capacity - enough to feed a family of four

That's true although in the detailed description it states 1.2kg and bearing in mind its amazon they will refund no problem if it is a mistake.
Just googled the model number - GH840B40 and it is the 1.2KG version

I have the one that looks like bb8. Truly an amazing device. I use mine for fish, mushrooms, beef, chicken and less frequently chips
