a chore of chopping? Old sharpener fall way short of sharp? You need a new Deik
professional knife sharpener. With two easy steps, sharpen & hone, Deik will restore your

How it works:

ensure a long-term and stable use. Satisfied with Deik, or your money back!
Kindly Remind:
1. Pull inwards from the outside when you sharpen your knife; never go back and forth.
2. Don't put sharpener in or on water. Keep the sharpener dry and clean.

I have one like this. Although it does work, it's not amazing.

Agree.
I wonder if this is better than a steel.

Jut get a steel. They are cheap, and work. You'll never see a chef using a sharpener. Only a steel. A quick up and down motion on the steel before you use the knife and it will stay sharp for years.

It really depends how good your knives are! If they are £10 then it will bo OK. If they are good (German, Japanese and the odd French ones) then go for one of these...
They are expensive but, just like everything in life, you get what you pay for....

Looks very similar to the Morphy Richard's one we have, that came free with the Morphy Richard's Red Accents Knife Block Set I purchased on Groupon some months ago.
The only difference is Morphy Richard's name engraved on the silver handle.
It definitely works, does the job!

No, definitely not. See if you find a sharpener in a decent restaurants, fishmongers, or butchers shop. You won't. A steel works and lasts for years.
A steel is used to keep a knife sharp. It's not used to sharpen it. If it's blunt (I.e. Never been kept sharp with a steel) then you need to use either a wetstone, or a decent sharpener.

I have a similar one. Good for cheap thin knives , poor on expensive ones. Heat. Mine says to use water?

There's loads of vids online to teach you how to use, and you'll never go back to one of these lazy sharpeners again
